Introducing Pulse Ultra Nano: Self-Hosted Document Intelligence at Enterprise Scale

Built on a Foundation of Enterprise Learning

At the start of this year, many of the world’s largest enterprises began running Pulse across their document pipelines. They reached new levels of accuracy and throughput, often surpassing internal benchmarks for precision and latency and unlocking new processes downstream.

Through these deployments, one message was consistent. Technical and security leaders valued Pulse’s accuracy and performance but wanted complete control over ingress/egress. They asked for the same reliability and adaptability delivered entirely within their own environments, with predictable latency, verifiable security, and full ownership of compute and data.

The Next Step in Document Intelligence

Ultra Nano was built to meet that need. It is a new state-of-the-art document extraction model built fully in-house with full self-hosting and no external dependencies. Every component of the model, from text recognition to reasoning and even chart conversion, operates inside the customer’s infrastructure.

Ultra Nano combines Pulse’s OCR foundation with a vision-language model layer capable of understanding complex layouts, tables, figures, and formulas with high fidelity. The result is a self-contained system that delivers accuracy at scale without sending data outside enterprise boundaries.

Hybrid OCR + VLM Architecture

Ultra Nano uses a hybrid OCR and vision-language approach to unify structural and semantic understanding. Text extraction, visual interpretation, and layout reasoning all occur within the same self-hosted environment.

The model reads documents the way analysts and auditors do, interpreting both language and structure in context. Formula recognition modules translate mathematical content directly into LaTeX, ensuring outputs are both machine-usable and verifiable. The inference backbone runs faster, consumes less compute, and maintains accuracy across diverse document types.

Trust Through Isolation

Enterprises deploy Ultra Nano directly inside their own VPCs and on-prem infrastructure. Each environment is single-tenant, isolated, and auditable, meeting internal security, compliance, and data residency standards.

This design eliminates external dependencies entirely, ensuring that sensitive financial, legal, or operational data remains under the enterprise’s full control. For teams responsible for governance, assurance, and compliance, this provides confidence that no data or metadata leaves their secured perimeter.

Proven at Scale

Pulse is now approaching one billion pages processed across global enterprises, investment firms, insurers, and foundational model labs. Each deployment contributes to continuous learning around accuracy, performance, and architecture.

Ultra Nano reflects everything learned from that scale. It is the result of years of real-world production experience with complex layouts, multilingual data, and regulated environments. The model demonstrates that document intelligence can be both high-performing and entirely self-hosted.
